Security System Installation Technician

REQUIRED STUDY: Vocational Diploma in Security System Installation and Maintenance or equivalent (electrician, experience)

The installation technician is responsible for all activities related to the installation and maintenance of security systems. They must travel to residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial clients, in addition to ensuring quality work to the satisfaction of the clientele.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure and maintain security systems (repair); (intrusion alarm, access control, video surveillance, intercom, telephony, structured cable, etc.)
• Program the components and start up the system;
• Provide training on the security system to clients;
• Collect information related to the work performed and fill out the documentation with vigilance;
• Read and interpret plans, technical diagrams, specifications, and technical manuals;
• Read and understand software, systems, programs, and operating manuals.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Vocational Diploma in Security System Installation and Maintenance or equivalent;
• Leadership, integrity, autonomy, and versatility;
• Valid driver's license;
• Communication skills, sense of organization, and priority management;
• Bilingualism in French and English (an asset).
